Ok so I've seen JD^ playing in our Gungame server quite a few times before this and he had never raised any suspicion from me until he caught my eye during the latter part of this match in aim_shotty. After the match was over, I decided to go back and give it a look, and what I found was some pretty incriminating gameplay...

The first kill that throws up a flag is the krieg kill at 7k. The next are the g3 and m4 kills from 9.5k to 10k. The AK kill at 11k is slightly suspicious but it could very well just be a lucky/random headshot. Then comes a series of very suspicious kills from 17k to 23k (galil thru usp) that can only be justified by extreme luck, bad registry, or of course hacking.

Along with the aim_shotty demo, I'm also posting the following match at lego_mafia. While his gameplay isn't quite as conspicuous, observe the kills from 15k to 17k (krieg, g3 and m4), as well as the ak, scout, and fiveseven kills.

As you can see, I chose not to ban JD^ because I'd prefer input from the rest of you before such action be taken.

The galil kill at 17500. I can't tell with the crappy laptop I'm using right now, but there's two headshots approximately 5 feet difference from both target heads, at THE SAME TIME. I would look there first and use sv_showimpacts 1 (TY CYBER! Very useful command :wtg:)

Also, I know you're a new admin, and although it is good of you to not ban a regular when you're unsure, try to watch some hack videos on youtube so you feel comfortable about what you're looking for to give judgment as soon as possible. If the regular posts a unban me thread, it just makes this whole process move that much faster anyway :shrug:

Actually, the ban was dismissed due to votes suggesting he was innocent!
i find it hard that he is hacking, i havnt seen anything to fishy from him, not to mention he has been very helpful in notifying myself and im sure other admins about hackers in the server... like you know who and what that one time!

just a thought: although he gave us heads up on other hackers doesnt rly prohibits the possibility of him being one lol...
for all u know thats how he is spotting some of them before us, because he's seing the same hacks on his screen lol...
im not saying anything on the guy, i like playing with him, but just thought i'd mention this. God knows how many hackers joined the admin crew and banned other admins just to stay on the safe side.

i've watched a few demos of this guy. some guys, i look and i'm just like man it's hard to tell but there's no way he's legit. this isn't one of those guys. everything i'm seeing, i've done myself. and i don't hack. he's a very good player with excellent mouse control and recoil knowledge. the krieg kill on shotty was luck. that's all there is to it. his crosshair was there, he strafed out, shot, and got lucky. after that he gets a nice snap headshot (happens, part skill and part luck), and then a headshot streak getting headshots early in bursts with rifles. nothing to me indicates anything unnatural.

I Learned a few things while watching, JD still isnt hacking, that box jump trick is brilliant, and nagarachi didn't die.

Im on the fence here... I went into the demo thinking 'blah, another jd thread, we've established that he doesnt hack so far... Im gonna have to try to justify all his shots.'...and i really , i mean REALLY tried to explain every one of those tick marks marks. Some are gd recoil control, some are skill, some are luck ... But there are some ... I just couldnt explain the mechanical tugging post mortem to a victim head...Is source tv in delay in this demo for anyone else? Not only are some shots no where near the target, but i swear that there is clear and obvious aim assist-like tugging in some of jd's shots, specially on the scout and pistols... Am i missing something, usually ppl get banned for the EXACT same tugging that i saw, unless source tv is fucked on my screen? Again, i went in the demo with many ppl saying no, even myself... So if i had any situational peer pressure it would have been too free little willy here../..but i came out of it seeing very clear aim assist on small distances from ppl's faces, that no one is seein... I came here with an indecisive 'yes' in my mind, perhaps i was victim to a spectator glitch...I need to re examine ANOTHER copy of sourcetv demo and i will upload my suspected ticks for other ulas while i formulate a decision.

It must be you, i saw a very talented player who has a fairly high DPI setting. Like brett said, everything i saw were things i have done myself. As for "same tugging as what other people got banned for" it holds no relevance here in this ban thread but id like to state that i do not think some of those bans were fair. You arnt looking for "Jerky" you are looking for consistent unnatural aiming patterns like (Cursor is to left of body, moves at a certain velocity to center of body, moves away at same velocity from body, moves back to body at same velocity.)

i only watched up to scout and didn't see much out of the ordinary. a nice run, but nothing else. i'll go back and look again today, through pistols. and yes sourcetv seems to show with some consistency the player models ahead of where the player you're speccing sees them due to lag, so it looks weird.

Om the rifles i dnt recall seeig anything anything out of the ordinary. But i think it was after lv16 he starts to get very weird shots. Slow them down to 4-9% and tell me if u see a LINEAR and most likely horizal movement of the crooshair from the point of shooting the guy's head specially after the victim's deah. ... The rifles kills are meh, ive had streaks like that ,but the ladder kills... I will get ticks as soon as i can, brett if u see smthn too until i get access to a pc tomorrow, inform me.

Also remember that sourcetv videos don't record PERFECT copies. You have to look at the bullet tracers more than the crosshairs. This is because if he has sensitive mouse settings, it will look VERY weird. And stop looking for aimbot at 4%. Everything looks ridiculous at that slow of a rate.

the pistol rounds do bring up more questions. go to 19.6k and watch his fiveseven-deagle kills into the next round. i don't think it's conclusive, but it's the fishiest i've seen from him.

Im starting to believe more than before than i was probably victim to the spectator gitch, i wasnt even convinced myself, hence the reason i havent voted yet... Fuckc i wish i had my laptop..
