I have returned to Counter Strike: Source for the first time in approximately five years. I was big into Zombie Mod back in the day, and was looking forward to coming back to it. I have found your zombie server to be the best available, and I have started to frequent it quite often. Today, 07/11/12, at approximately 1902, I was playing in your server. People were spamming the radio, zombies were blocking to protect humans, people were using illegal barricades, all sorts of behavior typical of a full zombie server. I was an admin in several zombie servers back in the day, and I can understand how frustrating and annoying it is to deal with cheaters and generally rule-breaking individuals. In the round I was banned in, I had entered a room with several other humans. One of them turned into a zombie, so I quickly left the room while others were still entering. I made it across the map and to a room several players were barricading with a large, hard to move crate. I checked behind me, in the direction I had come from to make sure the zombies were not close, which they weren't; they had not left the above mentioned room and were still fighting with the humans that resided there. I shot the large crate around six or seven times with my shotgun, attempting to create a slot for myself to fit through, and planned to immediately re-seal the barricade. I was slayed, and then cursed at profusely by the above named admin. I apologized for what the actions I had taken must have looked like, and assured the admin that it was not intentional. The admin informed me that I had been warned a round earlier for "hesitating to destroy a barricade". The previous round, I had tried to enter the same room while players were barricading it with the large crate. There was room to enter and as I tried, the players shot the crate to cover the gap and I became stuck inside the crate. I attempted to use "e" to move it, but it was too heavy. I shot the crate three times, which got me out. Zombies were close so I took no further action against the crate, and was infected while attempting to run away. The barricade was not opened, and the players inside the room were not harmed. The totality of the circumstances could easily lead an admin to believe I was destroying barricades, but I assure you; I was not. I honestly did not see the warning the admin says he gave me, which I'm sure he did. I have no problem with a one hour ban, but I believe the admin was way out of line to jump to conclusions, and to use the language he did, all while I was apologizing and attempting to explain myself. Admins need to be competent, intelligent people, who give players a fair chance. I appreciate the admin's actions in keeping the server free of violators, and all admins in the room had their hands full at the time, but I do not at all appreciate the way I was spoken to and the way this admin handled the situation. It is very unbecoming of his position on an extremely popular server, and I believe it reflects poorly on the entire IBIS community. The chat log can be checked, and it will show the way this admin spoke to me, the way I spoke to him, and why I believe this is unacceptable. Thank you.
