anex initially wrote the scrim for august, thinking that june was july ...
he meant and STILL means TODAY , the 6th of june , at 6 pm eastern central for the first set of matches...

6 pm eastern central = 5 pm central for people who live at the same timezone as shady ( i have been asked that "what about my timezone" question 3 times now...)
Anex also included a watch in his original post, as a link under the word HERE. u look at THAT watch, when its 6 pm, shit happens.)


until anex (who is MIA atm) says othewise, everything is carried as normal... i guess since teams havent been properly divided, nor given the exact time/place,

and if spasm decided NOT to show up, then because of the team balances, my team loses our strongest member , aleko, to the other team, and we get a decent replacement for him instead. thats what i understood from anex's logic behind the balancing.

As a result the test version of shadow of the void was being used. You all did not notice b/c it appears that the test version is ready for release and the range and pull on the black hole is correct.

However the black hole has a 100% chance to go off on this version for testing...

Well a guess can you all verify that other than the 100% proc did the shadow of the void work just as it does in the normal server.

well, for me the 6 vs 6 was a bit of a clusterfuck.
i prefer 5 vs 5.
5 is the minimum to have a full force going to do an objective, countered by another full force doing the same. 5 vs 6 is not a hard thing to do every now and then, so when u have that 6th member doing respawning only, you dont sacrifice strength vs respawning skill anymore as much as u would have in a 5v5...

face it, 5vs5, if someone dedicates only to respawn like BM, then the team is sacrificing early offensive strength bcos 4 vs 5 is harder than 5vs6 imo... this was shown in first scrim, but in second scrim it became too much of a clusterfuck...
but hey... as long as its <= 6vs6, its gd.

What about having a tournament were the winning team gets to submit their suggestions for a new race and community gets to vote out of the winning teams suggestions and zero makes the winning race for the server? After all, there is alot of amazing races with very unique yet simple skills and ideas that can really work. I think the suggestion thread has some great ideas and people seem to understand what will work and what will fail, making zeros job easier. TEAMWORK:)

I am reinstalling the scrim server again. For some reason every time I joined it would crash instantly dispite being literally a copy and paste of the existing server. How an exact copy does not run exactly the same way is likely something we can thank valve for. I am now doing a reinstall from scratch and manually uploading everything from my local system like what I did when I set up the currently working wcs server for steam pipe.

- A terrorist killing a SUBSET of the hosties (not all of them because that would be preventing the objective), is that allowed to prevent a ct member from saving those specific 1-2 hosties he's dragging at that time?

- CTs are allowed to save a subset of the hosties and kill the rest for the round win?

- Wards. Are they allowed to be in the same room as the hosties? (for example, office projector room is huge as fuck, u can put a full ward on 1 side and u'd ALWAYS have a clear path to the hosties.) So can u plant a ward on a side of the room as long as the wards arent under the hosties, and that there's a clear path to them? Or are u simply forbidden to have a ward within that room altogether?
I just want to make sure because i've been hearing a lot of debate in the server regarding SPECIFICALLY that office map. And militia has a similar setup with the bar-hosties (Should u ward the bar entrance for example, and leave the side door open, or even ward both the bar and the side door and leave the garage vent open only).

In about 1 hour I will turn off the main wcs server to copy the database and go live on the scrim server. You will be able to spec in source tv with a 60sec delay. The server is a physical copy of the live wcs server but on the latest update from valve yesterday and thus also on the latest required sm version.

You had motherfucking 4 players better than me when Paper came in. The ONLY reason we were doing well at first because we were all organized and prepared with tactics - I've made an Excel spreadsheet with pretty much all tactics from the beginning. Teams were more stacked than ever before... Literally once you realized what we were doing and countered, we were fucked. We tried up until mid dust just when we saw that literally nothing we can do will do shit.

Yes, you were the worst in their team, but still better than 2 of our and probably on par with What. Literally, the only worse stack could have been switch Masskid with you and it's a perfect stack.

first map was that close because I was playing out of my mind that first round. It would be very rare to see me play that well again. It doesn't really help that we had two guys just basically give up halfway through the second map round.

Maybe recruit for like a player draft, but I think if you recruit directly to your team things aren't gonna turn out great cause the people who would activly recruit people and the best players are necessarily the same.

I did spoke up in the thread when teams first came out. I also did spoke out in dust2 when Paper came in. No one listened. 5v4 would've been unfair, but with teams already skewed, that was the end of it. Finally, I tried until it was possible when most of people have given up I.E. mid dust. And to be completely fair, I can't really blame people as teams were not balanced... To be mild.

Possible to rig teams. Once people have signed up, then we should have captains discreetly select their co-captains and their teams. So no one would feel left out or bad. Fair and without hard feelings.
