your thread, pull your demo. just seeing that you were slain means nothing without the context of what was going on, which the demo provides. download the demo of the time of the incident, view it in-game, use shift + f2 to find the tick mark where the slay occurs, and post back here with the demo and tick.

No demo, and an "unknown" map. Not only are these your responsibilities, as in the sticky that you were supposed to read, but you barely supply any information so that it is a hassle for anyone to even help you -_-

you clearly read the how to report abuse thread... so maybe you should follow the rest of it, which clearly states you need proof.

As a side note, i couldn't find a correlation but any chance this batman is related somehow to batwoman (aka outty)?
maynard

outty is banned for a couple more days... so I doubt it.

I dont think so but i am zeroing in on a tick mark in the game

No, I think Outty renamed himself batwomen for a short while because the admin batman (the admin in question) is quite friendly to players that are open

84500~ batman tells me 4 only in the cade
86600~ "evil leave or be slayed" (not really fair- forcing me to lose)
88120- I am slayed.
I love roy_the_ship. I recall once playing bumper boats, than for some reason they glitched into each other, flipped upside down in the water, and we all drowned haha. Than they glitched out and reappeared in the sky stuck together for the rest of the time we played the map. What a fun time that was haha.
Roy_highway is best map imo.

i can't speak on the rules for zmod but here's how it happened:
there were 4 players in a nook beside the stairs in the bow of the ship, first level below the deck (near the container with a van, 1 level down). i know there's a rule about how many people are in a crouch spot (right?), however this spot is tall enough to stand in (although all players are crouched). ferret runs in and joins, not breaking any cades or anything, batman warns that he'll slay saying 4 is the limit for that spot, then slays. i'll let those with more knowledge in zmod determine whether or not 4 people is indeed the limit there or not.

you need to crouch to enter. thus, crouch spot.

true, didn't notice that part
from what i can tell on the rules, all rules pertaining to maximum number of people allowed in a crouch spot are map-specific. thinking this is just a situation that requires rule clarification

A uniform crouch spot limit has long been given up in-server; it has fractured into three components: the original 2 per tube/pipe (for non zm-ers, this refers to those round concrete pipes), the uniform "accepted by everyone" limit, and the non-uniform "depends which admin" limit. The difference between the second and third, is that I have not seen all admins (specifically, older generation of zm admins) acknowledge such a limit. This is strictly my observation, and there are, most definitely, exceptions.
Also not set in stone: many have come to set a limit on the basis of what is favorable to the survival of the first humans in the crouch spot. Such limits are not to make it "fair" for the zombies, but to reward and protect the humans that make it to the holdout before the spot is considered "full." Once it goes past the generally accepted "full" limit, the chances of survival are effectively destroyed. Reason is that there just isn't enough practical space. Thus, any humans "past the limit" are an immediate liability: they are too close to danger, no matter how many guns you have. Once the liability turns into a threat, it becomes a chain zombification effect. Which leads to much deserved whining, which leads to the formation of practical rules.
The limit for that specific area on zm_roy_the_ship is 4. It has long been that way, and falls under the category of limits I call "uniform, accepted by everyone." This is legal; it was the same way with zm_pulse_templeofdoom_final, where there was an unwritten limit for three humans per platform, until aNex finally wrote it into the v2.4 revision of the ZM rules. Every ZMOD regular knows of this limit.
I was trying to find this for a while, but I ended up doing so after I typed up that huge ass paragraph above....
Those of us from ZMOD have only followed the first portion of this.... Probably should have remembered the second part. Oh the irony in the last three sentences!!!
Note to admins: If there is a general consensus (3 or more admins), you are allowed to operate with "temp" or "unwritten" rules for a short period of time. (Approx one week). During that time, you must bring that rule to our attention so that we can make it official. It's to protect you guys from frivolous abuse threads and help flex your ban hammer. This is not a blessing to go rule happy. Don't be that admin. (Example: No more than three per platform)
I say no abuse

It is not a written rule. This is a clear sign of "i made up a rule so fuck off." We dont make up unwritten rules at ibis then not bring it up to zero or clans attention as a potential rule in the future.

if it is a general consensus thing, then that's fine but it needs to be brought to the attention of the rule-writers to be added to the list.

And it never was until now. That map has been around for years.. hearing about a potential rule in an admin abuse thread is the wrong answer, it should be adressed properly.

This spot has had a consensus limit of four since I started playing in the IBIS ZM years ago. Not by just admins, but by clan alike. The reason is, after four people, the chances to survive are pretty much gone (IE: The vans.), anymore than four and the limit breakers are pretty much team killing, as its nothing but a sword away from being destroyed.
I'm honestly surprised this has not been written yet. It has been brought up. Just like Snoopie. Just like many others. Agreed on, yet not written in map specifics, there is sooo much that needs to be written up and that takes LOTS of time and Zero's time as well. We all know what it is. Mikey, you have no clue about the ZM server, shut your face. I'd have many abuse threads for one's like this. A bit surprised I don't... As I did the same last night. Fail abuse.

It's been so natural for many of us that it probably slips out of mind that it's not a written rule. I bet some of the regulars who learn the rules by ear actually believe that it is written in the rules. I'll tack on a post on the ZM Rules thread that it should be added, as a small reminder, if anyone can squeeze the extra time to add the small modification

Considering that i am in the top 5% of players with total play time, id say you are wrong about me not knowing about the ZM server good sir.

i don't see why this needs to be personal.
wait it's cuz mikey posted here.
anyway i'd say add this and any other similar rules to the zmod rules thread to, as said in the thread, help prevent frivolous abuse threads.
