So a few months ago I severed my link with social media.

My phone has been in a crippled state of limited use for roughly a month.

The only way my friends have been able to get a hold of me is through steam or if I pop into vent. Family currently can't reliably get a hold of me because of my phone's derpyness.

I'm appreciating a silence and solitude that has never been experienced and it's awesome.

Has anyone enjoyed the freedom of being an urban hermit? Even if it's been for a short while?

No.

I need to be listening to spotify on my phone all day at work, and watch videos/movies on youtube/netflix while I drive.

This cannot happen.

I need to be plugged in at all times.

The phone before my current one I used for >6 years and it was so old the battery would only allow you to make 1 call per day. I could not get new battries for it and just waited until android was invented b/c non of the new phones offered any new features that my phone did not already have and or do better until the first droid came out.

Was annoyed with a lot of my friends, wife told them to fuck off, deleted my facebook account, and basically changed my password to all my social websites including skype.

Having no contact with anyone for a while rocks.

Oh, got married August 13th, 2012 :)
