    I agree with your general point about guns that it's a society awareness thing and that it's people who are responsible, but your examples of Sweden/Switzerland are bad. Switzerland has a very strict regime on guns in that people HAVE to attend training for the correct gun control due to the civilian militias, which means they under go training and those people who have guns know how and where to use them. Furthermore, their culture has very low tolerance on most outsiders and in general Swiss people are quite peaceful, which all adds up to the low violence... My point: Swiss are unique. For Sweden, even though gun ownership rate is fairly high, the regulations and testing are still quite rigorous, which means again not everyone can get it. Furthermore, their culture and education are also quite different.
