That's a bad idea. I have very few people on my fb from ibis, I'd like to keep it that way... also it's fuel for trolls. I might also add that keep personal stuff off fb is wise as well.

honestly Maynard, have you tried having a forum like conversation on FB? its not build in such a way that would work, the discussions would remain here, with the exception of spam type posts.
And It would not bring a bunch of whiny kids, I dont see how you think that, there would just be a page you can like, and through it you can make some announcements like you do with the steam groups. It may not be neccessary but it could very well work as a supplement as brett said.

I also have a few IBIS member on my FB (Bob, Omega, Walter, Holy-Sonic, Wagner, Kenneth etc) And I spam my French on their feed ahahah
