Wow. Had I known my intro was going to cause such a ruckus I would've posted something more obscene! LOL I'm okay with thecat derailing the thread. Honestly it was an entertaining diversion and has definitely given me some insight into fellow forum members. I'm surprised to see so many new folks - I thought everyone played GG but it seems WCS is equally popular.

Thanks for the tips guys. I suppose I'll try WCS and stay out of ZM, at least for now, based on what I'm hearing. No offense thecat, but you're pretty much the only person posting in this thread that endorses ZM and I know several of these folks and trust them over you. But perhaps you can win me over to ZM yet, we shall see. :P

I do fully expect to get wtfbbqpwned in WCS at first. It took me about a year to get my first win on the GunGame server but I have to say, sticking with it and playing against tough competition has sharpened my CS:S skills back almost to where I was when I was a teenager. Growing old is tough to do when you enjoy twitch skill gaming so much...

You'll be fine in WCS, just start as human and go from there. If you are getting repeatedly murdered just ask one of the more experienced players for tips. Like most people there I love to pwn the noobs, but its more satisfying when they can actually put up a fight.
