For 45 players they are recommending 30Mbps internet. You can meet the server specs cheep but the issue is do you actually have the bandwidth at your house for this!?

    $399 512GB SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148444
    $204 3.1GHz Quad Xeon: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115084
    $199 Supermicro m/b: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813182253
    $139 16GB ECC (required by m/b): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820139979
    $89 2TB OS/backup drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148834
    $99 Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112316
    $59 400W PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817703034

$1188 total before discounts (some items have promos right now and rebates not counted above

This leaves the rest of your money for OS ect. Your motherboard has integrated IPMI so no GPU ect is needed as it can be controlled remotely via lan/internet. You might need to swap one in there to configure shit but I am not sure as I have never personally worked with real server level gear.

All of the above meets and or exceeds the recommend requirements for your minecraft servers on a hardware level. These parts also represent the highest quality to ensure continuous operation. You may wish to spend some of the extra money on upgraded fans or cpu HT or even a small WC system for silent 24/7 operation.

Move to where you can get Google fiber. Pay $70 for gigabit up/down

I just want to point out that you could host the largest minecraft server on earth if you got this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813182346 and this ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820239425

The ram alone would cost $20000 but you would have 768GB on fucking RAM!
