Thread: Zombie Powers?

  1. Arrow Zombie Powers?

    So we have been playing around with the idea of giving zombies some special powers but wanted to put it up for a vote to see what everyone things.

    Examples of powers would be to make it so that all zombies could fire a ranged attack that reduces the fire rate of human weapons in an area for X time.

    Or we could even give different zombies different powers depending on class.

    So what do you all think?

    I'm for different powers for each zombie type. Possibly something that counteracts there weakness's or helps there strength's more. ex

    Classic: Takes less damage/more durable
    Predator:Goes completely invisible for short duration 2-3 seconds/ Higher jump radius
    Speed: Less knock back for a short duration 3-5 seconds/ More hp
    Deformed: Speed boost for short duration 2-5 seconds/Burn damage doesn't affect for short duration 5-10 seconds

    Tons of other suggestions prob better than these but all i could come up with on the spot. Believe it would help make things unique because there would be diff powers for each class.
    It's only my opinion, to each their own.

    For deformed i think it would be something like reduce incomming damage in area around zombie by 75%.
    Predator could reduce weapon fire rates by 50%
    Fast could evade nades
    Classic could push/pull props stonger
    Poision could create a cloud that obviously distorts view by humans but also rapidly heals zombies in it very fast.


    Things that chance knockback would not be very possible as that is handeld by the zombie mod itself as veriables set for all plaers of a class.

    i would definitely be open to at least trying it out on the server. i've always liked the fact that ibis is a hardcore zombie mod server, and this would even make it more so

    These any new zombie power would likley also come with a new human ability like a stun nade or something.

    Could you add a immunity armor? Like a set of body armor on an escape map that negates 5 stabs from zombies before its broken and the person is infected. There's always people who are immune to the virus in zombie books and movies why not a zombie mod lol. Also if that's to much you could add a power up for faster reload time.
    It's only my opinion, to each their own.

    I really like this idea -- bchog has good ideas too but I particularly like these ideas that encourage more team work... it might return the sense of teamwork that once existed when i first started playing on this server lol

    Im really glad to see we are doing a vote on this guys, I love the idea for poison class, as well as the pred's lower fire rate, I think it would also be nice to add in a level up system maybe to give people more of a reason to play the Ze/Zm server a lot more offen , this would also help with giving classes such as fast a higher chance to avoid nades like in the Wcs server level 1 10% L2 25% L3 35% L4 45% L5 is max and that would be a 60% chance somthing like this would really keep players coming back for more not just because they want the powers but because it would feel like they are getting accomplishments and not just mindless murder for Bwainnnss haha.

    I second omega's level system, i don't know why i didn't think of it myself. Be kinda like killing floor where you can level up each class until there maxed and you have the best zombies and it can apply to the humans as well.
