Map Vote's to keep old never played maps.

So please enlighten me, why do we want to remove maps en masse? Many of these maps are decent, some of them even good.


What is wrong with a lot of maps? Does every generation of players not complain of "overplayed maps?" Zombie mod is not some vanilla PUB server; variety is a spice of life.

We are cutting down the list because we are going to add more maps (or so that is what Zero would like to do) and most of the listed maps are never played by anyone due to everyone wants to RTV as soon as they land on them, also a lot of the maps listed are missing stuff now or out of date or even broken. Also BladeTwinSwords the speed duel's are on WTFHaX not bumfights, 8. Zm_ghs_abdandon_mall - Classic is a copy of a map we have that is not as good as the other one as it has less places to hide as i said above.

Indeed, there are a number of maps better off deleted. I still don't think as many as "all but three" should be deleted and I find your list as faulty as some of the maps in it.

Oh lol, I did not see the only 3 part. But yea, If we seek to remove lots of maps we shouldn't remove any of the actually good maps, there must be more shit maps on this server than those in that list. Also the adandoned mall map v2 needs to go as opposed to the first, because IT is the shit version with few actually defendable barricades. May look like more and might be bigger but in terms of actual survivability it is lacking. The one on this list has been played plenty through the years and for good reason...Its good. Also a few slays is a enough way to stop the illegal spot as most of the regs will catch on quickly if they do not already know.

I personally would not ask EVERYONE in server because you cannot make everyone happy. Also many of the people in the server now are still new to zm, or suck too much to really be allowed a vote. Not trying to bias those players but the main votes should come from the experienced players who have played the maps several times and know all the pros and cons about all the maps. Again I don't mean to discredit the less experienced but I do not want people choosing our maps based on a 1-2 times playing them.

Just in MY honest opinion, excluding the newer ze maps I have not played (of which there are many), this is my list of maps that should be under consideration for removal. Although some are (sadly) played occasionally they are all poorly made or bad in terms of actual fun and survivability. I do not feel we should remove only not played maps, rather we should encourage the playing of them, and remove the large number of bad maps.

If you can, try to run through the list of maps in order Friday before the voting. I personally haven't been here very long and don't pay attention to map names :P. So a refresher would be nice. You could also announce it in game to the people on at the time so if they didn't know about the voting they can go make an account and be ready for when your done running through the maps.

I will try, how ever i have been working a crapton the last 2 weeks to get ready to go up to canada for 3 weeks in july-aug but if everyone would like to do this I will try. Oh and B1ackout the maps that are on that list are the maps everyone has rated the lowest grades and or always want to RTV off of asap.

Yes I can see how people want to vote them off, but that is because they do not know the maps they are voting against, while I agree, most of them are terrible, but several of them are not bad maps, they are quite decent, you just have to be skilled enough to play them. It is not only noobs that roam this server, hence why I added several maps that are just as bad, if not worse to replace the decent harder maps you included. The goal of this is to remove bad maps, you and I have provided many, more that I feel zero will add, why not take the playable decent maps off your list and fill their slots with the even shittier maps on mine. A few of the maps you didn't include are actually broken and NEED to be removed, such as atix_helicopter_uefinal. I just want to make sure we do not remove maps that the older players such as myself still enjoy to play, and remove the broken and awful maps that for some reason are still in the rotation.
