Let me preface this that I couldn't find anything from the sourcebans site and can't provide exact details about the incident. I didn't care that much about the ban at the time since I wasn't playing this game very actively anymore. All I know I was banned from the server and can't access it currently (kicked immediately after joining even if there's free slots, so the NS2 "ban").

Name in Game: nadyli (or random letters, I probably was using fakenick at the time but can't recall the exact one)

Other/Reason to unban: I've been very active player in the NS community for almost ten years now and been playing on the other side of the pond. I've been involved with the creating of NS2 Finland community and helping out with ENSL and beta cups the game had. I hosted one of the very first NS2 cups the game had over at ENSL.org and helped out with blind's beta cup and general ENSL things after that. I'm also member of Squad 5 for hosting the event and playtesting the game early on which you can find proof here (about -> roles -> Squad 5 on the left) AND credited for the playtesting in the Main Menu Credits section inside the game. I also am part of and the leader and founder of team exertus, which qualified for the first Unknown Worlds hosted event over at Germany at ESL Studios and here's a video of it. I think that's enough of reason to say that indeed I'm not hacking, but if you have any other doubts about it or if I'm the person in question feel free to check my ENSL/UWE profile and add me on steam to resolve this problem.

With the upcoming community run tournament I would like to return to play on your combat server to practice for it, since it's currently the best one around NS2 because of its quality and popularity.

Why wait so long to make an unban thread? That's one of the oldest tricks for actual hackers to try to get out of it, hoping that no one remembers who banned them or why.

How could you not care about an aimbot ban that could get you VAC banned until six months later?

I did explain why I didn't make one earlier, please re-read my OP. There is no chance a 3rd party server ban would get anyone VAC banned, that is just ridiculous to even suggest. Also I am active member of the NS2 community and pretty much everyone in the competitive scene knows or has heard of me and as such I provided all the information to confirm this. Do you really think a real aimbotter would go through all this hassle to get unbanned, just to get banned again at a later date? I don't know you or if you have any power over unbanning me, but you seem really uninformed about this kind of a situation and I hope that doesn't come between me and the IBIS community. If admins have any more questions please just ask away.

If i was ever banned, I would go to the source/site to see why I was banned. If the ban was justifiable, I would wait out my ban and learn from my mistakes. If i can't find why I was banned or find the ban to be absurd, i would fight it right then and there. I wouldn't wait months.

If you gave two shits about being banned from IBIS NS2 Combat, you would have done something sooner.

If i was ever banned, I would go to the source/site to see why I was banned. If the ban was justifiable, I would wait out my ban and learn from my mistakes. If i can't find why I was banned or find the ban to be absurd, i would fight it right then and there. I wouldn't wait months.

What is wrong with you people? Why are you sticking to the most unrelated point in this discussion? THERE IS NO WAY THAT WHEN I GET BANNED FROM 3RD PARTY SERVER RESULTS IN A VAC BAN. So stop bringing it up.

To counter again, my team had disbanded and I played the game maybe once a week, me getting banned then didn't make much difference to me at that time. You probably would have made the effort to get the ban lifted earlier but as you might know, I'm not you. I get votekicked out of public gameservers regularly because I invest in the game I'm currently focusing on and making effort to improve my game whenever possible. That is what I do, because I'm a very competitive player. This is why I didn't bother to get unbanned as soon as possible, because I wasn't invested in the game at the time and I didn't know if I would play anymore.

You lot sound very cynical and you have the right to be on the unban forums. However you shouldn't focus on the negative side of things (fact wise, there isn't much is there?) but on the positive (my reputation). Why? Because everyone should get their fair chance to plead their case of unjust ban.

I'm sorry. I'm trying my best to be polite but when met with such opposition I don't know if it's worth it.

As a last thing, I'm going to emphasize my reputation. There is proof that I'm a legit player (ESL Germany event), I'm part of a active community (they haven't banned me, have they?) and I have been civil. I haven't retorted to personal insults or whatevers. To be honest I just want to have the chance to play on your server again, but if that is too much to ask for, I won't hold it against you.

They are used to how things work in cs:s where everything has 100% control and evidence. Unfortunately the ns2 developers feel that hacking is impossible and refuse to give servers hltv like demo recording so we have evidence every time someone gets banned.

I will track down your id in the system and see what I can dig up.
