yup, same dude. since the original ban was expiring soon but he's been avoiding it since it was issued, i re-issued the previous ban on the old account, issued a matching 1 week ban on the new account, and issued a 1 week ip ban.

Please point out to me where in the rules list it says you can't use multiple accounts. Because after my last ban, I made sure to read the rules really closely and it doesn't say anything in there at all.

Well if you want to go off rules it has been case law for many years that avoiding a ban is cause for a perma ban... although we usually only issue those in extreme cases. You will need to choose what account you want to keep b/c your extra accounts are going to be perma banned when the 1 week ban expires.

i was operating off precedent, as explained by zero. i recall making a perma request a whiiiile back for a guy who avoided a temp ban, and i was informed that such bans were not to be permanent. by all means zero, you or any clan gets final say on the length.

No avoiding the ban is not perma but all duplicate accounts are perma banned in order to prevent the user from attempting to bypass in the future.

Yea other than that you can leave the ban as is. Given that he directly admitted to it he was clearly not even trying to hide anything and for that I will not have the base ban extended.

a little late, but i perma'd the 2nd account used in this case. he's been on the server with his primary account, so this is the one he won't be keeping. posting for documentation.
