Push for the upgrade in seating and the vouchers and see if they can do anything at the gate or ticket counter. Make them buy you a hotel and a taxi to it if you have to stay the night. Makes for a shit experience but good luck.

you are not the only one shit. Just about every single flight to and from the northeast the past couple days has ben cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.

That last one depicts how over 2000 flights have been cancelled in and out of the USA up too today.
