Aesthetics? The under is more visually pleasing. What steamer says is fact. The only practical up side to using over is the risk of touching a dirty wall while using under. Otherwise there is no benefit for using the up. As steamer said, you shouldn't have the roll that close to the wall anyways.

Whoa whoa, moving too fast for me chief, I didn't know you can add more in to your post after you've already submit. But wasn't there a study or questionnaire given to some 5 star locations? I haven't looked at the sources but I see there is a wiki page on this subject and it claims over is used in such businesses.
