As I said in my first post, which has only been addressed by Brett, I am looking for something to mitigate the issue, ie any type of setting change I can do. It is not an issue with the computer obviously since it has to do with a game that is maxing out my system. If it was my computer, ie something to do with ram, hardrive, all that other shit you mentioned, it would be affecting other things. It is an old computer, I am trying to make GO usable, not upgrade my system, not fix something that is not broken. Read what I ask for, it seems all you and Kiony did was see that the game crashed any you stopped reading, now please only respond if you have any advice about what I asked, not about how much you want to tell me I need a new processor or whatever.

i'm assuming that you've already tried the simple stuff, such as turning down texture quality, running windowed, smaller resolutions, lowering shadows/anti-aliasing, etc etc. the standard things that people do when a game won't work. i'm assuming that because you should know to try those things first. if they didn't work (which i'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume they didn't), then the problem isn't going to be fixed by tweaking settings. its entirely possible your PC just isn't beefy enough to handle GO. or, that there is a problem elsewhere in the system which isn't allowing you to get the maximum use out of your components.
