This is Kimbo btw, but I can't figure out how to change my name. I think the Admin's responsibility is to allow the players to have a good time. If 18 people are bullshit because one asshole is shooting when the rest of us want a knife map, then isn't an Admin supposed to keep the peace? Admin abuse should be classified as doing something unjustly for the admin's amusement or personal gain, not to keep the server full and running smoothly. IF you don't want to knife only, fucking leave, don't piss everyone off.

Yeah sorry folks. Xer and Brett are correct. Zero did implicitly state before that votes in the game mean jack and shit. If you want to do so, and can, then sure, but it doesn't mean that everyone has to follow it. The reason being is that after a vote goes through, whats to say someone doesn't connect right afterword and shoot everybody? They would be kicked and then banned if they kept it up, which isn't what we want, for probably not knowing there was something going on in the first place

Honestly In my opinion I wasn't wrong in my actions. In the viewpoint of following the rules Yes I was out of line. But the simple fact that everyone minus like 5 people were knifing was a bit douchey for people who were knifing. I think Wake(aka Kimbo) is right on admin keeping peace. But if I am found guilty, I will apologize and take care to not do something like that again. It's in my hopes though that we can get a rule implemented for that, as I am not the only one who feels that way about the knife only on Wootday.

This isn't the thread for this unfortunately. This one only pertains to admin abuse or not. By all means please do make a new thread in the GG rules section pertaining to this.

Yeah but this wasn't about keeping peace.

It was about a group of people wanting to only knife while another group didn't and a admin using his admin to favor the first group because it was what he also wanted resulting in using an admin command against someone not breaking the rules. Abuse doesn't get clearer than that.

As brett and many clan members have said in so many threads, IBIS isn't an democracy, it's a dictatorship and ZERO makes the rules which in no way say that you only have to knife because the other people want to.

As someone who likes to knife aswell, i support 100% a change to having a knife only vote available in wootday which removes the usage of guns but it's not available during this moment so the rules are clear.

as others have said. it only happens if the entire server is ok with it. if someone doesn't want to do it, they cant be penalized as our servers aren't listed as "knife only" so it's not fair to punish our traffic if they don't want to follow made up rules and play our servers as they are intended.

this is zero's logic and wording on the issue in the past.

what he did was abuse techincally, but clearly it's more just a lack of understanding on how we handle these situations. admin will be educated regarding the situation.
