I'd like to point out those were not pleas, but mostly insults / aggressive "advices". As for the fact I should go spec to learn, there are few people who know how to use wands, meaning I could be mislead by wrong people. I also prefer to play rounds rather than just watch them, since if I launch css it's to "play" not to simply "watch". That's why I prefer practice over theory.

You’re playing on an Ibis server - people throwing insults for you using an item incorrectly is to be expected. Actually, quite a few people know how to use their wands. I can list some off the top of my head if you like (non-admins, of course). Part of getting good at the game is by spectating people to see what they’re doing and how successful they are. I can guarantee you if you spec someone who knows what they’re doing and you actually pay attention you will learn a few things.

That’s fine, but it wasn’t just one person who had a problem with your wand use. If I recall correctly it was 3 or 4, plus myself. Again, if you just watch people in spectator mode you will learn a few things about how to use your wands.

That's a possibility, but it's true I picked avada a few times (and died when using it at pre boss cause zombie using their wands skillfully, or when the wand itself bugged).

And that’s fine, I know (at least Avada) is bugged, but I do recall you using it at the wrong time (beginning of the round). Dying with an item isn’t trolling, it’s just inexperience. I don’t really care about that - it sucks and it can set us back quite a bit when someone with a good wand dies but we have to get over that and continue the round. Although I will say that if you’re prone to dying maybe you shouldn’t be picking up wands in the first place, for the aforementioned reason.

Then you give 0 chance to people experienced HP map for 1st times to learn how to use them. Even if you are inexperienced with wands, you can earn that needed experience through other experienced team members telling you when to use it.

That’s not true at all, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you go into spectator you will learn how to use your wands. I understand the first 4-5 times we play the map people will be inexperienced but the people who know how to play the map now know how to use their wands and do so correctly. I recommend (so that you don’t get yelled at) spectating people.

As I said before, I play videoGAMES, not watch them. And as I said in the original post, along avada I did pick wands like fire & ice. (and couldn't even use Ice since I got ebanned after "stealing" that wand & the mentionned guy made all a fuss about it, thus convincing you to eban myself)

Then maybe you shouldn’t pick up wands if you’re not willing to learn how to use them. This only strengthens my reasoning for ebanning you. I couldn’t care less about ’stealing’ a wand that doesn’t even belong to the whiner.

Blaming it all on a single wand / person for failing the round continuously is simply pathetic. This is a game which requires teamwork, and even without avada you can win if you use all other spells right (ammo & heal at boss, wall / ice / wind / fire / poison / slow cover, 80% cts without wands at boss, 20% help cover).

I apologize if I came across as though I were blaming only you for us losing our rounds, that’s not the way I meant for that to sound, nor is it what I meant. I understand that some people use Push too early, or avada gets used and then zombies run away and no one gets killed by it, or heal activates just that second too late and everyone gets killed or ammo, instead of using their wand sits next to the boss with a knife in one hand and a thumb up their ass. Shit happens. People are stupid. People make mistakes.

If the reason I got banned is cause I misused the wands, then I can't of course tell you it's 100% safe I won't ever do any mistake as we're all humans, but I can tell you all the "non experienced" arguments are useless now. If I require that unrestrict it's of course to enjoy using items, but also cause I can claim I have the skills to use them on most ze maps (Westersand / Paramina / Skyrim etc) for I have played countless hours on those maps (fewer on HP ofc since it's just been released), thus helping the team to reach victory on zombie escape maps. If the period I spent personally to learn how to use some wands on your server caused you trouble then I can only apologize for that. However you should know that had never been my intention.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, I really think you need to go watch a few rounds from spec and pay attention to how certain wands are used. Once you’ve done that I don’t have any problem with you being unbanned. I did at first think you were trolling with the items (avada at round start), and then I came to read your post and noticed that you actually have some legitimate points and I’m trying to bring up a few of my own. Inexperience is fine, but you have to learn at some point but trial and error only sets us back. Can you imagine if new people joined the server every day and just picked up wands without knowing how to use them? (oh, wait … )

EDIT: I would also like to add that not having access to a wand does not mean that you can't play the map. You seem to think they go hand in hand.

Like I said before, items have a purpose, they're not there for you to dick around with for your own entertainment. It's bullshit to lose a winnable round because some retard picked up an item just for the sake of having it and doesn't know what to do with it.

Well then I'll just wait for Zero's or Anex's reply. As for the fact I should go spectating on HP I don't mind doing it if it allows me to get unrestricted, however as I stated before I did spend quite a few hours on that map on various servers (i3d, pF & yours), thus granting myself the required skills to use correctly wands. As for the fact it may seem that I think being restricted prevents me from playing, it is true in the sense that when there are few people on server & no one taking items or knowing how to use them then the restriction makes it even more frustrating, as continuously repeating the same round over 10 times in a row makes the game way less enjoyable, as you said in your 1st reply zambie.

So with that being said, you DO know how to use the wands correctly? And that also you've played on another server that greatly dislikes trolls, to the point of almost 1-5% TOLERANCE ONLY, im surprised you lasted that long in the server.

Great, then the conclusion to this is, that you were trolling. Pretty hard too, if Zambi was to ban you from using any pick up items.

100% agree with your actions Zambi, trolls will be trolls, thats why we have to sit out on a perfectly fun game and regulate "noobs" within the server.

While the rest of us are actually trying to win the map, you trolls are causing us to fail, over and over again, thus making the gameplay not fun anymore.

That said--Turtle, if an admin tells you not to do something do yourself a favor and listen to them. If you have an issue with how they asked or that they asked at all, bring it to the forums. It should be pretty clear as to your answer from how the community responds.


I've never even played the map but the message I've seen from every single person here is thus: if you want to use a wand then know how to use it. If you think you can give it a whirl and not fail then try--if you fail, you should likely forgo using it again for the rest of the map and watch them or simply play without a wand.

That said, a permaban is likely unnecessary. If he picks up a wand and fails, ban him from doing so for the rest of the map. Also, asking someone courteously the first time will usually have much greater results then being insulting. If they do not listen, then by all means flame/kick/ban away.

Yea I think he can be unbanned now that he understands a bit better what he is doing. Look for refrence I still am not exactly sure what colors do what I just pick one up and say I got color X what does this do. I then use it correctly by using logic as to when such an ability is required to help the team (such as using amo to help boss battles) or I ask the team hey when or where do I use this and someone usually then tells me and I follow that instruction. This is the fastest way to learn how to use any item. I never said I do not know how to use it instead I just asked the exact questions I needed answered in order to use it. I suggest taking a similar approach in the future.

If uhhhh, admin's who use eban can post with demo in the admin section, this could have been much easier to see what happened.

That is not how EntWatch works. You can't set a temporary eban. They're permanent until manually lifted by an admin.
