I'm just stating if we accept all claims thus far as true, that is two investigators, neither of which account for the flavor, implying there is at least some other investigator type role.

If you want to take it in that sense, then it has to refer to the SK and not Scribble, since at they point Scribs was already dead, and "THEY were being watched" follows the guy dragging the body away.

We can either say that Ass is pure garbage at writing and his flavor is full of errors and misnomers, which is entirely possible, or say that it may be accurate. There is literally no way to tell at this point, but I don't want to simply dismiss it and say, "I guess that guy is cleared because he said something we all know and I dont believe the flavor". That is stupid.
