"That's beautiful." "New born babies are beautiful. Sunsets are beautiful. This is my friend, this is FUCKING INCREDIBLE!"

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

After watching the PlayStation E3 Convention thing, me and one of my friends got to talking when it was introducing the new PSP. Supposedly he heard that one idea for a PSP was somewhat like a scroll that could be unrolled, which had a flexible screen and such.

Might have been total BS, but the concept is interesting.

I think I saw that PSP concept. It was like an old scroll, right? You'd pull the two edges away and the rolled up screen opens between, like the ancient paper scrolls. It's an interesting concept but doesn't seem very functional since the screen isn't rigid. The thing would flop around in your hand as you're trying to use it.

OLEDs are truely awsome and the bending concept with OLED's is a big idea.

Sony showcased a bendable laptop awhile back.

No one's made a concept yet, but if anyone remembers those snap wrist bracelets that were all the rage with kids a decade or two back, maybe they can adapt this OLED cell phone concept to be bendable with a rigid back like the snap bracelets.

And then there's OLEDs actually being put on your wrist, something the military seems to want for some reason.

And of course Apple is getting in on it, even though I don't see why this has to be curved.

I just want virtual reality, I'll pass on most of those, except the pimped out wrist watch, that looks awesome.

    Virtual Reality would be awesome!!

Imagine if we had to actually had to *run* in the escape maps, and *build* barricades using physical strength instead of pressing keys on a keyboard. Think of how many calories we would burn every day!! AND TEAMWORK SKILLS!

The fat lazy asses would also get left behind and zombified! Hahahaha!

The Marines would win every time!! ;D

I was thinking more along the lines of a matrix-like virtual reality where we're basically astral brings in another world. That way games wouldn't be limited by attributes of humans and such, and it would make way for some epic games.

I already know what my residual self image would be.

I think both would be cool. Although Walter's idea does have one major advantage, you wouldn't need admins to take care of noobs. Just pistol whip their cade breaking asses.

James, your idea reminds me of The Surrogates.
"An Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II flew a show of force and expended flares for emphasis over Salerno after enemy forces attacked a coalition forward base. The arrival of the aircraft prompted an immediate retreat by enemy personnel."
