I might have kicked this dirt up a little too early though, my network isn't nearly finished. I still need to get Windows 7 for my gaming rig before I post any pics.

Still need to fix my Linux routing machine, and get a PSU for one of my older "donor" towers, and DC fans.

Hostname Hardware Specs Operating System(s) Function/Purpose Status
silverstone -- openSUSE Linux (amd64), Windows 7 (edition?) Desktop/Workstation Down

    Windows file & printer share
    (CUPS+Samba), FTP server,

(3 more towers, 1 more self-rigged CPU, and 2 more laptops yet to be inventoried.)

The only thing I liked linux for was for the beryl eyecandy and turning the wireless card into a transmitter instead of a receiver to hack different routers for internet access.

Make all your last demands for I will forsake you and I'll meet your eyes for the very first time, for the very last.

    http://www.aircrack-ng.org/

Aircrack-ng is an 802.11 WEP and WPA-PSK keys cracking program that can recover keys once enough data packets have been captured. It implements the standard FMS attack along with some optimizations like KoreK attacks, as well as the all-new PTW attack, thus making the attack much faster compared to other WEP cracking tools.

In fact, Aircrack-ng is a set of tools for auditing wireless networks.

I have seen people use this program for minor stuff, like going into a wifi cafe, hacking the password and fucking with everybody with their connection wise. But it can also be good if you do not have internet and there are locked wireless connections in you area.

This is exactly why I use only wired networking...

We can still get to you. All we have to do is wait till you leave, then go up to the house dressed up as electricians or the cable company and tell however is inside the house that you called us with because of an electrical outlet or modem problem in your room or where ever you computer is stored. We will then take this time to setup a wireless network inside of your house without you even knowing.

    Thus we shall have access.

It is also better for gaming, to my knowledge.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

Not only that, but it's healthier and has less interference.

My saying in regards to this is, "If it's wireless, it's useless."

    Wired all the way.

@anex Linux/GNU has a lot of potential and if you get acquainted with it, it can do a lot for you, for free. Open Source all the way!

I'll post a picture of my ratty desk as soon as I find my camera.

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 ghz
    4 GB RAM
    nVidia 9800 GTS 1 GB
500 GB 7200 RPM hard drive

I've been a bit of a nomad lately, so I bought a laptop instead of building a desktop this time around.
