EDIT: I don't like to sub-categorize either but now-a-days it seems that it's the only way. If people ask what type of music I like, I respond "metal" and they are like "well...what kind of metal?" im like WTF IS WHAT KIND OF METAL?!


My other roommate yesterday goes to me "check out this new Converge bro" and I was like "sounds metal as fuck" and he was like "uhhh its thrash metal" im like " ummm who cares. and really it sounds more like Grind-core to me". hahaha. I hate that shit.

but yah i hate slipknot. and i liked underoaths old stuff but they are now chicks with dicks.

*edit* winds of plague is pretty good. they only have like three good songs though. but the chick on the keyboard is sexy as fuckkkkk

slipknot is definitely metal. it's not like you can classify them as pop or rock. The only reason I listen to them is to learn the drums to all their songs. Joey is pretty sick, ya gotta admit.

as for Underoath, their first CD blew and had roughly ANY talent on it. But ever since they got their new singer their stuff has been pretty good. And without giving them a sub-genre name to represent their sound...I would have to say Metal. Not as metal as a lot of other bands but Metal regardless.

how could I forget Godsmack, Limp, NiN, Tones and Hed PE?!?! Those bands were the shit. Not going to lie when I hear Limp Bizkit NOW...they suck. And Godsmack, they are just like Nickleback...it all sounds the same. Haha. But back in the day that shit was amazing.
