Dude I don't like your type no offense.

no its cool bro. what i post is mostly metalcore. if youve listened to mainstream rock, (lame ass) "nu metal", and stuff like korn, slipknot, etc. for forever then you probably wont be able to wrap your head, well ears, around the sound of the bands that i like. there are a few distinct genres of metal that i listen to, what i post is only the surface of everything i like. it seems you like more mainstream sounding "metal" so itll be hard to stray the path and know what is true metal. (no offense intended also, this is from one music lover to the next)

Please don't kid yourself. There is no such thing as "true metal". True metal went commercial with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Zeppelin, and Metallica all in different era's. What you and the majority of others listen to is shit that got mixed with grunge, hardcore, punk and other shit. So disambiguating music is absolutely pointless. No such thing as the "real" shit unless you want to turn the hands and go back to the 60's.

Nothing biblical. Masta and I had a long talk about hearing music genres for the first time. He mentioned kids wearing Nirvana shirts thinking they were there when it happened. I mentioned when I first heard Nirvana (yeah I'm old go to hell). 1991-1992. Song was from the Bleach album. I was 8 years old. Song was "About A Girl" and afterward, Nevermind was introduced to me. Point is, it's now 2010 and kids will think they know the music. Cobain is dead and I'm proud to say I heard him while he was still alive. Never got to see him at Lollapalooza. My point was, music lives through generations and those are the true roots of the music. The people who created these genres. Not bands who piggy back on other genres. It makes you look ignorant to say the word "true".
