Thread: Transfering files between computers via internet

I knew I was forgetting a program.. Thanks Zero.

And Getcha, Remote Access only connects our computers so I can control his computer. It's used for helping someone fix a problem when they can't come to them in person. It doesn't really connect two computers the way I need it to.

You can close/delete this thread now. I had asked a few people, no one knew. So I came here.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

you know if you were bored and had cash to blow, you could have just bought a portable HD and loaded all your files on to it and than nextday delivered it through UPS or FEDEX to your friend.

You can also try Dropbox to transfer shared files over the Internet.

And to avoid problems in the future, Crashplan has a "back to friend" feature that's helpful in these situations. You wouldn't need to do anything but turn the computer on for him to restore files. They also have added unlimited online backup plans recently ("family plan" for $5 can be shared by friends).
