The PS3 was never about gaming. It was about a cheap ass blu-ray player at the time. I love my Xbox. I'm amazed people leave that shit on for weeks and then shut it off and turn it back on and they get the rings of death.

my 360 broke while it was just in front of my tv and i didnt want to go pay 100$ to go repair it

I took damn good care of my 360, and it still broke.

I was playing Red Faction and the screen freaked, froze the game, and the speakers made a fucking weird ass loud noise.

So I reset it and, low a behold, The red "ring" of death.

Technically, The PS3 is better than the 360, I will have to agree that the 360's internet capabilities are far better than the PS3's, If they promised to make it better I would gladly pay for PS3 Online play.

Yes the PS3's internet browser isn't the best, at least it HAS one.
Yes the 360 has more games, that doesn't make it better than the PS3.
Yes they are both expensive blocks of hardware that will eventually become obsolete, so why so serious ?

Each console has its good and bad side, lucky for me, when I bought my 360 my mom was drunk and thought it would be good to buy the PS3 at the same time. Well I don't know if she was drunk or in a good mood... but yeah, yay for Res.

I bought a PS3 and an Xbox 360 at launch....

Guess what a year later 360 got red ring of death...
I wont buy another X box 360 EVER!!!!! Having an almost 50% fail rate is un acceptable.

but the PS3 mostly just sits and collects dust (stilll play MGS4 and Disgaea 3 every now and then). I loved my PSX and my PS2 but Ive moved on from console gaming.


Honestly though this thread was a fail before it got started most of the poeple on here are hard core PC gamers so of course your gonna side with microsoft. Xbox 360 is more like a gamin pc/console hybrid.

If there is a game I want to play for either 360 or PS3 nowadays my best bet is just to wait for the PC release!

added: on a side note some good advice that saves me money is pick up Gamefly. I normally beat most games in a day or two so its just not worth dropping $59.99+ on a new title. Since I own a PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox, Gamecube, and DS it saves me hundreds (on games Id like to play that are worth a play but not worth buying).

I haven't owned a console since the Super Nintendo, but the PS3 was very enticing. With the new slim version coming out and the price drop, I might buy one before Christmas.

Also think Uncharted 2 looks pretty beautiful, which will most likely be the first (and perhaps only) PS3 game that I'll buy.

I'd mostly use the PS3 for the Blu-ray and maybe throwing Linux on it for a media server to watch Netflix/Amazon/computer files on my TV without a Roku box.
