Eh, I agree to a degree. Not that you should act like someone is below you, but act like you'll never get intimate with them. A lot of people jump right into the "ZOMG, I WANT TO FUCK HIM/HER" and then go about playing a game to make it happen. Any time you act hasty like that, you're going to make mistakes and in this case BIG mistakes that you'll most likely regret or hurt your ego.

So, it's better to just be friendly with everyone and after awhile certain people will click with you that will make you feel comfortable about taking on that next step.

Well my point was is to act like they aren't worth you making a fuss over. Talk to them because you are interested, but don't act like every move is critical. Since you don't think she is in your league, you will not feel like shit if things don't work out. If they do, then great, you are in with an attractive person.

Of course eventually you have to admit that the person is at least in your ballpark.

yeah i agree with mallisin on that point everyone tries to hard to jump in peoples pants. But if your trying to find a real relationship that's the better route.

There is one problem with that route though
if you become the best fiends type with her then u have no chance. Which then sucks!

Why do you even need a girlfriend? Entertainment? There is other ways to obtain entertainment. Apart from that, there's reproduction. Which, since you don't have a car, or can't afford to go out (I think?) I doubt you would want some midgety things running around your house eating your wallet alive. Unless it's a mutual relationship, where both of you are helping each other out..
