I don't know much about photography. What I DO know is that those pictures look great, Zero.

    And AI_Scout -- nice car =P

Thanks, I will be putting the high res versions on deviant art. Now that I saw how easy it was to make the pics look great (I can upload pics of the originals if you want to see) I think that I will look into doing more work on this sort of stuff. Although I do not have a good camera (actually none at all) I do travel (often) to some of the most beautiful places in the world. Thanks to this thread I have decided to actually post up work on deviantart and hopefully show more people the amazing things that I have seen in this world.

I'd be interested to see the originals and hear how you get from those to the final product. They seriously look professional.

I will shrink the originals and upload them. But yea I spent like a few seconds on each pic. 99% of the time was actually spent computing the effects. What I did was reduce brightness and increase contrast. In two of them I then colorized. Next I cartooned them and then oil painted them. Lastly for some I game a canvass effect becuase I wanted to see how it might look as an actual pic.

Yeah, I can see how it makes quite a difference. It kind of sounds like a lot of steps to go through--how did you learn what to do? Just played around with it?

Well although I am not very familiar with photo editing I am use to video editing. So I knew I could bring out the color more with the brightness and contrast. As for the others I know them from playing around. I knew I wanted to make it look like a painting so I clicked the cartoon button and then the oil button after that. If I did not like the effect I just undid it and did something else or just altered the settings on the effect. It may have been made easier b/c I was listing to Led Zeppelin...

Very nice. I am going to give it a try with a few of my photos using PS CS3.
