I doubt you would have enough time to complete as much of it as you would like. It is more of a "buy" game or you can just torrent it, either one works.

It won't be a waste of time though, this game is pretty beastly

Well, yes but you would serriously need alot of time on your hands, like dedicating at least 6 hours a day to the game, I did EVERY sidequest on my second playthrough and knowing how to do them all it took me 49 hours in game time.

First playthrough took me (didn't do all the sidequests) 53 hours.

The game tells you how long you have played.

Go for it if you want but, depends.
