why do you have to be nice with rule breakers?? honestly its ZM and basic rules are don't cade break, don't ZTELE away from zombies and don't block. seriously those are ZM wide rules. people shouldn't have to read the IBIS rules to know that. yet people still choose to break these rules on a regular basis. same thing as mic spamming and griefing, those are CS:S wide rules. yet people still decide to mic spam and grief.

I don't know why your sitting there defending people who break these rules. your basicily saying that its okay to break these rules, I'm here to defend you and let you act like a jerk on the ZM server, ruin as many people fun on here as you can cause its okay I'll defend you in the forums.

if you wanna follow the rules to the letter than you do that. but in the mean time that you are, your the one who is giving people who don't deserve a second chance a second chance or letting them off with a slap on the wrist. seriously who is gonna learn that if they cade break and they know that all that is gonna happen to them is a warning. than when it happens again a kick, than another time and its a ban.

you just let someone cade break 3 times before you banned them and that could be 3 seperate people who will never come back to the IBIS ZM cause you decided to be nice and follow the rules to the letter, warn/kick/ban.

I'm assuming that you are either blind, or you are blatantly disregarding what I'm saying in my posts. I never said that I don't punish people for breaking the rules, nor have I ever defended people who are blatantly breaking the rules.

Most people aren't out to break the rules; they make a mistake by accident and have to be warned or taken out of the game for a short amount of time to learn what they did wrong. When I see someone that is obviously new shooting a cade, I freeze them or move them to spec to make sure they don't break the cade. I then explain to them what's up and then they don't do it again. That's 80% of the new players that play on the server that I run into. If there's a rash of people cade breaking then I start banning players. All it takes is explaining to them what's up instead of banning them. Showing players respect often causes players to return and in turn show you respect.

Also.. you shouldn't extrapolate unfounded data about players leaving the server because I don't punish beyond what the server rules state. On the same token I could say your immaturity when you played on the server caused people to leave from seeing an admin who didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. You sound as though you would be another Holy Sonic with how often you say you resorted to banning players.

We haven't been on the server at the same time while I've had admin. Until you do, you're a pretty lousy judge on how I admin.

It's sad that 90% of Ibis admins are either:

a.) complete morons and fail admins
or
b.) complete assholes

Back on point: I'll agree that some admins are VERY new to the server. Some don't know the ins and outs of Zmod, yet and it shows. I do think that some of the admins you are referring to are at least trying and are (to some extent) getting better.

While I don't think new admins are a source of some of the servers problems, having better admins or at least a vetting process would solve a lot of woes. I don't agree with mastercheff and his idea of "ban all the new admins fuuuuuuuuuuckk", but some kind of application might be warranted. Or at least having regulars be the only players allowed to go for admin, etc.

The only issue is that Zero might take a hit to the server and incoming $$'s for a while until the quality goes back up as a result.

ZM never had these problems when we had a core group of admins who got along and were friends with each other.

Ask anyone who is still playing about the days when james, hobo, res, holy SH**, anex and I were the only admins. those days were some of the best ZM has ever seen, server was full constantly, everyone was having fun, rule breakers were dealed with correctly and swiftly. none of this nice bullshit.

like I said I've stopped being an admin but yet people still want me to get it back and come deal with people in ZM since no one is doing anything about it.

I'll be buying admin again probably around new years like james.

**EDIT** I can't be like holy sonic, he is the one who tried to copy my way of being admin. obvivously he failed at it cause he has all these people complaining about him. go look at the unban section, your only gonna find one or two request that came from me banning someone. I do it right and I do it good. people know I don't mess around when it comes to enforcing rules.

We tried to get Zero to implicate an application system 2 years ago...and here we are. :-)

I'll start going into the ZM server to see if I can weed out some baddies.

I didnt leave because of a particular admin, I left for the same reasons that loka has its gotten boring, frustrating and why play a game that you dont have fun playing most of the time.

what we need is a 3, 24 person server both 44 tick with completely rebalanced zclasses that are all threating all the time, not just in certain circumstances like it is now, parachutes enabled for very few maps, and a tight map selection, THEN I would come back
