I'm still an average citizen, but I saw the economy tank severely in September. Local governments cut government jobs, my mother lost almost all her money in retirement funds, and I was graduating college at the worse time. Considering the field I wanted to get into, almost all government jobs have a hiring freeze (except the military), and who knows when it would be opened again. But we bailed out the banks, and let everyone else suffer in the process. I'm not the only one who has had issues in finding jobs in this economy in my field. For that, it makes me feel better to know I'm going into a career that is secure.
