What exactly makes you thinks you have a virus? Are you getting tons of pop-ups or can you not get on certain website? What exactly are your symptoms?
These are the words you wish you wrote down.
she can't go onto some anti-virus sites, avg and avira antivir are not comiing up when she tries to run them, someting ccalled malware defense keeps popping up with messages saying "[insert virus here] had been detected, would you like to upgrade to full version to remove it?"
Malware defense keeps popping up, and I know that's a virus, had it before.
But I went and got Norton, and took care of it
I don't have the money for norton right now...
Tons of pop ups and icons on my desktop for porn sites.
Also the clips keep playing...

Has anyone else used your computer?
Get a firefox add-on called WOT (Web of Trust). Whenever you run a search on Google or elsewhere it will have a nice little green red or yellow ring on the side of the link and gives you information about certain websites and whther or not they are trustworthy. Hopefully you can avoid whatever website plagued your computer. Also be wary of Facebook and Myspace apps, even if they are "approved" and try not to click on links even if it's "omg look at this cool pic I found!".
Edit: Re-format your computer and get that free anti-virus. Load up important files on a flashdrive or cd's. You may want to partition your hard drive as well.
i got the same exact virus on my laptop a couple days ago that you have bumpkin. same symptoms and everything. been using my moms laptop for a few days now. but i brought mine to bestbuy to get fixed because as some of you know i am clueless when it comes to computers. aside from that virus, my bluray wouldnt work also so i hope they fix both of my problems. but im going to try some of those free antivirus sites some of you guys posted.
