You can state your skepticism without sounding like a condescending douche bag about it.

Computers tend to tell you that your computer had an unexpected shut down and gives you a list of options to restart (one of them being safe mode).

And like I said, TAKE THIS INFORMATION TO A GROUP OF PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE BETTER EQUIPPED TO HELP YOU.

Not my fault you don't care to hear the information I am giving you. Just makes your life harder.
what do you not understand about me not having the fucking money to go to someone professional?

    Get that through your head.

If you'd like to call me and "walk" me through it, by all means, I'll give you my number.

And yes, I have tried that.

I'm not totally ignorant to computers.

I gave you a site that is FREE for support. Get that through your head.

    Here's another one: http://forum.avira.com/wbb/index.php?langid=1

Places you can have people deal with your issue and do it for free. Did I mention free?

Will a few screen shots help you?

What the hell is wrong with doing it on this forum?

    You're making this ridiculous.

    Finally got it figured out!

The virus installed a registry that blocked any anti-virus from starting up.

Hence why I couldn't do anything.

So, Aco and I went on team viewer and he put a tdsskiller to my desktop to get rid of the trojan which was blocking the registry.

We then downloaded malwarebyts and did a scan and removed it all.

    It's gone now! YAY!

Thanks you guys for your efforts to help.

    It's much appreciated<33

    Good!

Those pesky Advanced trojans are sometimes a PITA to clean up.

I've been running Comodo, Avast or Nod32 on and off, along with SpyBot and CCleaner for years now and have not had one single virus / adware besides VM testing. Firefox, Add Block +, 64 bit OS's, along with some knowlege and no stupidity of clicking on random things that arent contained in a VM have kept things nice and clean for me.
Make all your last demands for I will forsake you and I'll meet your eyes for the very first time, for the very last.

maynard <ibis>: they are awkward and last 2 damn long. I prefer thinner smaller ones

honestly, this one was only a problem because it blocked actions it took as threats. any malware detector would pick it up and wipe it, but it came w/ a trojan that blocked any antivirus website or program from functioning. that tdsskiller toolk though, shit. doubleclick, restart and boom! first thing she saw when her comp came back to desktop was spybot bitching about avg being allowed to exist (love the fights between antivirus progs. lol)

coincidentally, i used teamviewer's fps mode to transfer the setup .exe and the .zip folders she needed over, since she couldn't get to the sites to download them.

If this was my computer, I'd have all that shit.

Like my laptop, before the graphics card blew, it was clean as a whistle.

I've never encountered this before, except once. But back then my mom got Norton 360 and it cleaned everything out.

Wow...the first and only thing I told you to do to your computer was to Scan/Fix/Delete the registry. Ccleaner isn't an anti-virus program and scrambles it's location constantly and cannot be blocked by spyware/viruses. HENCE WHY I TOLD YOU TO USE IT.

What do I know though...I'm just a geek in your words.

    I'm sorry!

And I couldn't download the Ccleaner for some reason...
