Well it sounds like we should turn this into a PC Talk thread.

Anyways Im looking to build my dad a new pc around 500 dollars. ill probably use his 200gb sata HDD and the DvD RW drive out of it. Hes not a huge pc gamer but he does play the Virtual World game "SecondLife" (yeah I know) and CnC games. Anyways if anyone knows some good deals or like to share some ideas for a build. Im seeing what i can build on newegg currently and show you what i come up with later

And like I said I can probably use the HDD and the DVD RW drive out of his current compaq for the time being.

I did not, its integrated. You dont need much gpu power for the games he is playing

Well that's just it secondlife takes more then you think. We have an ATI 4350 card in it and it still runs like shit. So it going to need to be stronger GPU then that
