    Ewww artifacts... Return the damn video card....

    Sometimes shit happens, and ya just get a bad card that somehow passed testing(Well they don't do long burn in tests.).

    Honestly... ATI's are the only cards I have ever had to RMA, must just be coincidence. Wonder if they have less rigorous stress testing rules the Nvidia sets.

    If it remained stable then its not the CPU or Ram.
    If its a new GPU, try RMAing it.

    Steamer, the problem with thinking like that is our pool of personal reliability knowledge is small.

    I'll post results when I get home for I'm sure ill have no idea what I'm looking at. I want to order a new card before rmaing so I'm not without my comp in between. Anything better then 6850 that is compatible with AMD

    6850 is a damn good card. i put one in my machine, and it's working fine!

    contact amd. see if they know about this, and if there are any fixes

    There are plenty of cards better then a 6870. You have 6950s, 6970s, 570s, 580s and quite a few others

    i havnt tried skyrim yet but i just installed my new ram, here is what happened... my boot up was about 1 min faster.. like after loging into windows. No lag on processes starting up at all!
