Don't you ban by ip now so you know how to get the ip? The only way I know is to type status into console and find their name on the list.

Banning by an IP is far less effective though because it's too easy to change IP. A ban by steam ID will force them to buy another steam account.

DO NOT USE the Admin menu to do your bans as they do NOT work!

Always use the console commands to do so as they DO work.

You will find that when using the console and the proper commands, the ban (or any other command) will stick vs the admin menu.

I think you enter their name still if you do ma_ban # playername this could be the issue. BTW I checked and no one unbanned him.
