to lighten everyones mood here we did have 2 good things come back this week, Futurama (WOOHO!!) and Top Gear with what I presume is a new director because it was actually a pretty fun episode (two words, reliant robin)
Its not the only engine that is CPU intensive. Mass Effect is just as bad. If I had a quad-core I could run the visuals at max. Makes no freaking sense since I'm running a GTX470 but whatever....
Also Final Fantasy 14 seems it will need a Phenom x6 to properly run on high. Its disgusting how badly my 7750be OCed to 3GHz keep the scores on the benchmark down. (2204/8000)
for those who are still experiencing lag and have not downloaded or created their own FPS config, add these commands to your autoexec file:
rate "35000"
cl_lagcomp_errorcheck "1"
cl_lagcompensation "1"
cl_interp_threadmodeticks "0"
cl_updaterate "101"
cl_interp "0"
cl_interp_ratio "1"
cl_interp_all "0"
cl_cmdrate "101"
cl_smooth "0"
cl_smoothtime "0.01"
cl_resend "6"
cl_pred_optimize "2"
net_maxfragments "1280"
cl_timeout "30"
cl_downloadfilter "none"
cl_timeout "9999999"
this will keep your lerp at 10.0ms consistently. and yes ive heard the rumors about lerp needing to stay "white". out of everything ive tested ive found capping lerp at 10.0ms with this config to work best.
also you can make cl_interp .03 and have cl_interp_ratio at 1 or 2 to create the same effect
the reliant robin episode was the only one i've ever watched...but it made me lol. "just a little <IRK> that way and there goes bristol, and a little <IRK> that way and that's west-hampshire!"
lol
you're compareing css graphics to mass effect graphics. dumbass
