Think about it. It explains everything they've done wrong since left 4 dead 2's announcement since he's now a zombie and probably a tool that Erik Johnson uses to run the company.

everything about this update is great, except for the fact you can't change your name in-game like you used to.

great registry, new/fixed hitboxes, no more crabwalking, bunny hopping has been slown wayyyyy down, enhanced recoil, and a lot more i cant think of right now. basically as much as we all thought this was an update for the random pubber, they really hooked it up for the competitive player. all the achievement garbage can be turned off, and this new scoreboard bullshit can be reverted back to the old manually. zBlock will be taking care of all that soon!

only thing is, now it only costs 7 dollars, and there will be a huge new wave of cheaters again... bleh.

what's wrong w/ it:

1) hitboxes

2) damage. the guns now deal insane fucking ammounts of damage.

3) god mode doesn't work in a player-created server

4) the fucking death cam. it's integrated into the after-death spectate option. turn off one you turn off both

5) the game doesn't run anywhere near as smooth as before

6) the dimensions are fucked up. i used to run in n800x600 window with no problems. now it's all too small to see

7) fucking player icons

8) CAN"T CHANGE YOUR NAME

9)achievements...

thats a server side command, just as it was before. perhaps the servers you played in yesterday had forcechasecam on. there are a shit ton of commands now that will give you the same effect, as soon as someone releases an updated command list i will link it.

hitboxes are perfect now. they not ahead of the player as they USED to be. see video:



that is how hitboxes were prior to the update. cl_interpolate used to be used for more precision but all of the leagues banned it.

as for weapon damage. on the important weapons such as the awp, m4, ak, deagle, etc... it's all still the same. a dink with the m4 still does 80-90dmg which i wish they would have fixed, but meh, the ak does the job in one shot.

but yes, it does blow that you cant change your name in-game. im sure coders will find a way soon.
