well i have some experience in this subject being a former networking/social website whore.

sometimes they are fat, sometimes there ugly, sometimes there not even that half bad looking but most have these things in common. a low self esteem, suicidal thoughts, and a shitty way of looking at life.

some people do it to spy? on there ex's or to prank there friends.
