well practically speaking i doubt any of us would be good at thrusting a sword at mobs of zombies. by the time any of us can pull it out wed have zombies eating us already haha

So are we all saying that sowards will not work?...because they are cool and all but i just dont think they would work with mass zombies...pluss by maybe that 10 or so your finger would be dead..and afther about 100(if you were able to stay alive that long)..it would break soon..so sowards are ban to...once again..the tank shines through!!

the sword is practical if your for some reason stuck in a confined area where u can fight them a couple at a time with guns backing you up. kinda like a reload cover type role i guess, but obviously not just any person can do that

a katana would spray too much zombie blood and just one slip up and youd get that shit in your mouth or eye and youd be fucked.

Everyone keeps talking though like youd need the sword to kill the creatures like its a human being... Buy a katana and a watermelon... you could pierce skulls all day with a little training... Dont over sharpen your blade (sharper = thinner) and rely on thrust to avoid breaking your blade...

Hopefully you could cade up for a while let the zombies start withering away...
When you needed to re stock on supplies... best choice is to have a group of close range fighters with blades and auto-weapons or shotguns backed by a med to long range support group with proper weapons... Fire thin the herd then rush in and clean up.. and always stay on the move!!!

well realistically speaking id freak out if im fighting zombies with a sword. either ill be overly cautious to not get hit by them or id just go crazy and slash and stab like a madman. so basically ill be a dumbass thatll get eaten or shot by the guy behind me

after so many thrusts and slashes threw zombies the damn thing would get daul and useless anyway.
