Reasons not to use a shotgun during a zombie invasion

Not very common Christmas. I think..

I watched quarantine a few nights ago, and I have to say.. It was the start of the perfect zombie invasion. Too bad the people in the situation were idiots, except for the drunk guy, who the officer was stupid enough to make stay with the crowd.

I have to say though, being in a dark place like that though, you should definitely get night vision goggles or something.

Probably going to get a lot of bad responses from this, but you can't blame me, I just finished watching Equilibrium.. I would probably like dual glocks, maybe with extended clips, instead of that semi-automatic shotgun. Can hold a lot of clips for them, light weight, and the zombies should die from head shots..

Needless to say, it's a pain, especially in NJ, where they like to restrict everything.

What I'm saying is because of the difficulty of accessing military grade firearms, shotguns should not be thrown out as completely inferior.

.410 bore shotguns are fairly common. I've mostly seen "home-defense" type models, lower recoil/ higher spread for less experienced shooters, but still plenty of stopping power.

The Taurus Judge is fairly new, and very popular. In fact, the original release of the gun saw shortages because it was so popular. Taurus increased their production to compensate.

It may be a hassle, and may be unlikely, but we are also talking about the hypothetical scenario of a zombie outbreak, which is also virtually impossible.

Depending upon where you live, it's actually almost impossible. So hypothetically, if you were to stock up for a zombie apocalypse, there's really no way to prepare with the equipment you really want. Which is where my idea of taking the best aspects of a commonly accessible gun comes in and going against the original idea of the article that was posted.

Wow... serious still thinking about guns??? You guys need to think more logically.. How about this a bottle of men spray or aerosol.. + those things that light up cigarettes ( IDK BUT MY MIND WENT BLANK ) ... instant flamethrower... a modified 5 nailguns in one.. yes I have seen these before.. and they are very easy to assemble.. a bottle of alchol + a napkin lit on fire... instant nades anyone ?

lol, I doubt the local cops near me have anything fancier than I can already get. I wonder what the best weapon/supply looting locations would be in the event of an apocalypse? Would say military bases, but there would probably be far too much commotion, probably get shot by someone or another. Police departments, as you suggested, could have some nice equipment, although they would have many of the same problems as military bases. Wal-Mart? (depending upon your state)
