i did some reading and it seems that one of the most common reasons for the lag and errors is because there has yet to be a server update for 1.2_02

i will continue to search for explanations as to why the server is so fucking buggy since the last day

For the record, there is a north arrow at spawn, so when discussing where you are, please use those points of origin to describe your orientation.

Mag, I read several forum post on lag issues that are consistent with bukkit. I was wondering if you could turn off mobs to see if the lag still persist. If it doesn't work then I will find another solution.

And I was going to ask, are you running bukkit or craftbukkit?

I also meant to ask if you actually switched to a bukkit server then added the mods or added the mods to the standard server.

id also be willing to start a server for testing mods.

i will attempt to work on lag issues when i have time... but for what i have told most people bukkit isnt officially done and more a less a Beta version of it.......
So for those who constantly message me and ask whats with the Lag along with many other questions. I dont know.... but i will do my best to find out the issues, this is why i also never seem to play cause either im answering questions or trying to find ways to fix or improve the server.

Ok, well the issue is weird now. I don't think it's bukkit because around midday, everything was running smooth. We would get intermittent lag spikes but those would last a max of 5 seconds (mostly 1 second). Then around 2:30pm (central) everything started to freeze up and we started to get the horrid lag we had last night (10-20 seconds). But for now, that's all the info I have. It seems like the evening/late night times are the laggiest.

I am fine and will bear for it with the next couple of days for testing purpose to try to help resolve the problem. Hopefully we can nail this on the head and see what's really up.
