Official Minecraft Server thread

this isnt something we should be arguing about.


None of these people crying about being shunned from our server are people the ibis community knows. that is final. We have yet to see any of you people give us a reason to trust you and until then i dont see why we should allow you to run ramped in our server.

Like we have repeated ten thousand times, this was ment for community members. not people who make a forum account and post once...


So with this said i would like to propose a application process for all the people we DO not know, ask them things like why we should trust them, who they are, what is there relation to the IBIS community ect.

I have built bridges that connect my castle to other areas around me to decrease the time to get there. I have built an extensive mining system that allows me to find as many ores as possible without wasting time and resources. I'm currently working on an underground tree farm so I can harvest charcoal.

The last time I've gotten pissed about something was when someone stole half my diamonds two weeks ago. Other than that I've been fine. Once again, you have no idea what you are talking about.

Also if I wanted to build things that nobody could ever notice, I'd play singleplayer. Thanks.

At any rate, the newbies need to understand, we paid for this fucking game to play it how we want. If I want to build a monument dedicated to my dead fucking dog and build it out of diamond, gold, iron, and obsidian, by fuck I want to build it knowing someone isn't going to steal it or fuck it up.

We started having problems when you guys joined us. So it's understandable why we're pissed. Get it? If a creeper destroys something, guess who's fault it is? Ours. Because we weren't paying attention. We rebuild because it was our fault. But if a griefer comes in and destroys something, guess who's fault it is? Not ours. I shouldn't have to make traps and build walls and moats of lava. This was meant for the people we could trust. Not for dick faces like newbies.

I didn't buy this game to have to constantly clean up after someone. I do that enough at home with two messy boys.

I'm planning on donating so we can get bukkit back up, but i can't yet due to a few reasons.

as i said, i understand. spending hours on something only to have it destroyed by god knows who isn't fun. and letting people on the server who we don't know poses the chance for more and more griefing. I apologize for allowing stealth to join. but what i'm getting at now, and as mikey stated, we need to stop, take a deep breath, and deal with this in a more mature fasion. fighting back and forth will get us nowhere.
