Bukkit mod testing for Minecraft server

the bukkit mod looks great but id frown upon any mod that takes away the essence of the game like the flash light. I dont think we should "decrease mob dmg, creeper explosion radius" or anything like that. It ruins the point of having the mobs there in the first place.

if it works the FM mod would be awesome.

Just reading through the list of plugin's you have suggested. I think we'd be able to benefit a lot from the World Protect, just to keep spawn pretty. Like Mikey, i dont think we should take away the dynamic of the game with the flashlight. I mean... who doesn't actually bring torches when they go on mining trips?

meh, have pandora in the background, or vlc, or some other media outlet. i don't think we should be messing w/ the server just to put pretty music in our ears.

and yeah flashlight would ruin shit.

HOWEVER, i think maybe a plugin that decreases creeper aggressiveness (like, you need to be closer for them to start chasing you) would be great.

i saw one thing in worldguard that i like. It makes it so no one can tamper with your chests, not saying anyone steals but there is a chance it happening

I'm surfing the mod forum to see what other mods there are:

FindMe - Basically it makes your compass useful. Not just pointing to spawn cause in SMP, the location of spawn is not as useful as the location of your house.

I will add more when I find good ones.

alot of these mods are cosmetic.. just download a texture pack...we dont want trolls. that is dumb.. they break down walls.

mag already was thinking about adding a sophisticated mini map mod in replacment of having to render the map for an ariel view.

why would we need signs that teleport you? .. just use home and warp when its up
