Well, I say ban me... I'm not hacking and don't care, but I ask you to put this into prospective. When HL2 engine came out and they started allowing people to tweak CSS config/autoexec.cfgs. What started to happen?
People were tweaking the sky, they were tweaking the players to have very low textures, they were tweaking the weapons not to appear and what happeend? VAC started to bad them because they said it gave players a unfair advantage.
Now with black ops... Imagine that all over again? You tweak fog to not appear, you tweak the ping to act differently, to tweak it to have a better hit box system. Each and every tweak you do, is a change not only to the config file, but it also changes conditions. Is this cheating or not? Some see it so, and some don't. Depends on who look at it... In the eye of the beholder.
So really... consider all things, all conditions, all past experinces with VAC, and even present/future possible issues. No matter how much I state, "I don't hack", to some that are being shallow minded. Only see VAC as a "Only Hacker Catcher", but there is tremindous faults with VAC and the system will never be 100% efficient. The good thing is, and I will state this. Banning someone for no reason or banning someone for a good reason. It still does a very good job on banning the hackers and getting rid of the graphics minipulation.
Unfortunately, I could have been one of those graphics bannable individuals. I know that in the past, they have done it and expecially with CSS. They allowed people to tweak they config.cfg/autoexec.cfg, but then they pulled back and started banning for unfair gameplay.
Steam/VAC is nothing but a regulated system, that still a will always have faults. How can I have 3 accounts and still not be banned with any CS/HL/or TF2 game? Consider that.
Btw, I have multi accounts because first one I had, it could have possibly been taken because they started banning acounts for being ran at Cyber Pubs. Second account was to protect me, incase that happened. Third is because I was a admin for GzN, but I eventually started to make my own server. I used the off account to catch hackers in the act, so they couldn't tell who it was.
