Also I am not saying I am going to be using those colors exactly, only lighter colors. That is why I asked for comments so you guys could suggest off white or different color options that you think may work better. Although making it like this to start shows the direction better.

the problem is that the rest of the site is dark. hell, alot of the front page is dark too. not only is the lighter color not neccessary, but leaving random areas dark makes it look even worse. all the frames for the different panels staying dark clashes horribly.
