/sigh Beta was months old software; it was stress testing. Please STOP taking the beta as ANY consideration to how the game looks or plays. Brett, your computer will run it on medium and look beautiful anyway. I set mine on medium just to see how it looked and the only difference is the tessellation and shadow models that make it look even better.

Same here lol, I got the EXACT same result and I'm running it on high settings with like smooth 35-40 fps, looks fucking sexy.

PLAY ON 32 MAN SERVERS ! 64 Man servers seem to leak massive amounts of memory, thus making them unplayable.

the memory leaks are bad only if you don't have that much memory to start with.

the main thing to remember is if you have a good CPU and a good amount of memory you should be able to play is game without many hicups.

as for the Origin questions:
download the game
check for updates/enable cloud storage if you want to
launch the game, this will launch your web browser and bring you to the Battlelog, this is the hub for the game
to find friends, don't do it through Origin, do it through the battlelog by searching for soldier

Great, I installed BF3 and started playing.

Now my problem is that after an indiscriminate amount of time my game minimizes and I can't get back in. This forces me to go to the task manager to close it. It's happened every time I've played. So I screwed around with my video drivers to see if that was the problem, nope. I'm out of ideas and very upset especially because their forums are over-run with complaints I haven't even come across yet. So either there's more to come or I've just had the pleasure of discovering a new issue with the game. This kind of bullshit shouldn't happen and I expected better from them.

I wrote to their tech support but I'm debating returning the game just on the principle of the matter.

On the principal of having a glitch on launch?
Honistlty I think half the issues will be dealt with in a month. Hopefully one of those being battlelog and its stats that it always fails to load.
