thought i'd update you guys on how the beta is going

so far so good, the game is awesome and looks beautiful even on low settings. when you launch the game you're brought to a webpage called the Battlelog where you can monitor your stats and this is also where the server browser is, yes this is all weird. gameplay wise its really awesome similar to bad company 2 though minor changes in the arrangement of classes. there are four classes now Assault (which is also the medic), Engineer (anti-tank, etc), Support (LMG, ammo resupply), and Recon (sniper with a place able spawn point). so far there are a good number of bugs (falling through map, key binding stuff) nothing that can't be fixed before launch.

And I can play this on the high setting w/o any problems, but I can't play it on ultra......

Thats because you have a gtx 465. Yes its a cpu heavy game, but there isnt much difference between a two gen old intel quad and a current quad. GPU makes a much much bigger difference in this sort of game.

I really do want to play BF3, though I refuse to use origin. Dont know when I will actually get the game then.

Really?!? Lol I honestly thought the gpu would only help so much.......because yes this game is a CPU heavy game and my cpu is over 3 years old

most likely, never, unless you download a cracked torrent of it but these games arent meant for their singleplayer
