    okay i just dusted my whole pc added 2 140mm fans to the side and tool away the huge box fan i had at it and my cpu is running 85 f thats not right so maybe add some thermal past or whats a GoOD cpu coller thats not liquid i plan on upgrading from my phenom 2 dual core to the 6 core in the next 4 months so i want it to be able to handle that also wahts you thoughts ibis

    Noctua d14 on the high.

    there are other options... though they all have names I can not remember :/

    Do you mean 85C as 85F is not very hot at all? (85C is really bad)

    I do not see how you could really improve an 85F core temp as at best you can cool to ambient and that is with perfect cooling. Usually the rule is that if your only 20F above ambient your cooling is really good. Think logically here, that wold also mean that for you to hit 120F it would need to be 100F in the room now that is a good cooling system.

    Now if it is 40F in your room and your cpu is 85F then yea you got a problem.

    I had a Pentium D, and it ran HOT. I tried a different fan cooler and different thermal paste, made a min. difference. It ran like 60C in BIOS and pushed into the upper 80s in games.
