i know same here, i mean sure i signed up to beta test but never got that email to join so its kinda awkward getting something like this, almost like they're rubbing it in our faces or something.

Easiest way to find out if you're in the beta or not. Go to http://www.swtor.com/ , Under community go to forums. If you can log in, and then on the bottom if there is a forum for "Game Test". Then you're in the beta. They just started the new build about a week ago, so you didn't miss out on too much with the first build. If you can see that part of the forums, well then, you need to find the email that directs you to the download link for the latest beta client downloader -.-'.

EA and Bioware sent out 2 emails the other day which went to many more people than they intended (people who never tested the game).

I got them both, but I was a tester.

Disregard them if you never tested it.

tell us if it's worth it. from a purely gameplay perspective, i'm thinking it's only marginally better if that than anything else out right now. guild wars 2 if you want gameplay, TOR if you want story.
