Through the darkness of futures past,
The magician longs to see
One chants out between two worlds:

My opinion of the game thus far is that it re-defines the term "theme-park mmo". There is far too much direction as to where you can go to level up and quest. World design is very static for specific leveling brackets. Example: planet A for 1-10 leveling, planet B for 10-15 leveling, planet C for 15-25 leveling, etc. Crafting is overly simplistic, it needs to be better tuned. What I like about the crafting is that when you make an item you can reverse engineer it to gain back some components and a chance to learn an upgraded version of it. However, gameplay is also simplistic and don't expect things to be difficult for your character to kill things.
Overall this game is clearly designed for casuals with little to no appeal for any hardcore players or even anyone who wants a little challenge. If this game had another 6 or so months to go to add in more worlds and detail this game would be totally worth the subscription but as it is it's a single player RPG with MMO elements in it. I feel EA has hindered yet another game by trying to rush it.
Edit: Although there are many similarities between TOR and WoW you would be just plain wrong to call this game a WoW clone.
